About the position

The Shift Lead position at Banfield Pet Hospital is a pivotal role that combines the responsibilities of a Client Services Coordinator and a Vet Assistant, while also providing support to the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff. This includes leading by example in client interactions, educating clients about preventive care and hospital services, and effectively resolving any client issues that may arise. The Shift Lead will also assist in scheduling associates to meet client needs, while proactively planning for time off and continuing education opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Assist and support hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team.
  • Supervise the team on a day-to-day basis to ensure quality medical care and exceptional client service.
  • Lead by example in providing professional and efficient client service.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, and hospital services.
  • Effectively resolve client issues and ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling associates to meet client needs and proactively plan for time off and continuing education.
  • Ensure adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience required.
  • Must believe preventive care is the best way to achieve a long and healthy life for pets.
  • Must embrace and thrive on providing exceptional client and pet experiences.
