As a Shift Leader / Keyholder at GameStop, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Leader in all aspects of store operations. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing outstanding guest service and ensuring that the store runs smoothly. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests, addressing their concerns promptly, and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system. Your ability to manage stress and remain effective under pressure will be essential in this fast-paced retail environment. In addition to guest service, you will assist in supervising staffing levels to maintain optimum service at all times. This includes conducting inventory counts, restocking merchandise, and ensuring that the sales floor is organized and visually appealing. You will also work closely with the Store Leader to meet sales, profit, and shrink goals, while accomplishing various administrative and operational duties. Your attention to detail will be critical as you count, balance, and reconcile daily business transactions, verifying shipments for discrepancies and recording any issues in the POS system. This part-time position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed. You will need to be physically capable of performing tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. Your role will also involve working independently and moving throughout the store unassisted for up to 12 hours, making it essential to have reliable transportation for tasks such as making bank deposits according to company guidelines.
