About the position

The Shift Leader at Dunkin' is responsible for managing the team and processes to ensure a great guest experience during their assigned shift. This role involves overseeing product preparation, managing service quality, and providing leadership and coaching to Crew Members. The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a positive team environment and ensure timely arrival for shifts.
• Demonstrate respect and dignity in interactions with team members and guests.
• Follow established communication guidelines within the store.
• Assign crew positions and communicate responsibilities effectively.
• Support the training of Crew Members as directed by management.
• Communicate goals and hold team members accountable for performance.
• Drive a sense of urgency among Crew Members to meet guest needs.
• Monitor team performance to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with restaurant standards and marketing initiatives during shifts.
• Control labor costs, food costs, and cash throughout shifts.
• Monitor compliance with cleanliness, food safety, and restaurant safety policies.
• Report equipment issues and provide performance feedback to Crew Members.

Requirements

• Fluent in speaking and reading English.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Preferred experience in restaurant, retail, or supervisory roles.
• Strong guest focus to anticipate and exceed guests' needs.
• Ability to set targets and deliver on commitments.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills based on analysis and judgment.
• Ability to build effective teams and enable decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
