About the position

The Shift Leader at Dunkin' Donuts is responsible for coaching Crew Members to meet operational standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role involves setting goals, providing job assignments, and motivating the team while ensuring a fun and fast-paced work environment. The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining service quality and operational efficiency during their shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coach Crew Members throughout their shift to execute operational standards.
• Set goals and provide job assignments to team members.
• Motivate team members and celebrate successes while providing feedback to correct deficiencies.
• Deploy team members appropriately to meet guests' needs and service standards.
• Support training of Crew Members as directed by management.
• Communicate goals and hold team members accountable for performance during shifts.
• Prioritize guest satisfaction and model exceptional guest service.
• Drive a sense of urgency among Crew Members to satisfy guests' needs and resolve problems.
• Reinforce the use of systems, tools, and procedures throughout the shift.
• Monitor team performance to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Ensure restaurant standards and marketing initiatives are executed during shifts.
• Control labor costs, food costs, and cash throughout shifts.
• Monitor compliance with cleanliness, food safety, and restaurant safety policies.
• Report equipment issues and provide performance feedback to management.

Requirements

• Fluent in speaking and reading English.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Restaurant, retail, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to anticipate and understand guests' needs.
