About the position
The Shift Leader at Jersey Mike's is responsible for supporting the management team in running the assigned location effectively. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high food quality, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The Shift Leader will coach staff, handle cash, enforce policies, and participate in marketing initiatives while fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Coaching the staff to deliver amazing customer service
- Producing high quality food
- Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience
- Cash handling
- Following the Learning Management System Training Program
- Developing others for career growth
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- Participating in local and national marketing initiatives
- Building sales
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the establishment
- Being certified in all four positions of the restaurant
- Effective communication
- Having a sense of urgency
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 Year QSR experience preferred
- Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer
- ServSafe Certification - Food Handler
- Must have reliable transportation
