About the position

At Bruegger's Bagels, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive the best possible experience while enjoying our delicious New York-style bagels and made-in-Vermont cream cheese. You will work closely with the General Manager to motivate and lead the team, setting the tone and morale of the store. Your responsibilities will include opening and closing the store with minimal supervision, coaching team members, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and beverages, and as a Shift Leader, you will be instrumental in upholding these standards. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth, as many of our General Managers started as Shift Leaders or Team Members. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team and deliver a great guest experience.
• Empower team members and set the morale and tone of the store.
• Provide feedback and coach team members as needed.
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision.
• Ensure the quality of food and beverages served.
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including early hours and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law.
• Possession of, or ability to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training.
• Possession of a current, valid, state-issued driver's license and meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy.
