About the position

The Restaurant Shift Leader at Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for managing restaurant operations in the absence of the Senior/General Manager. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies. The Shift Leader will lead and motivate team members, provide training, and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shifts and maintain company standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Train and develop crew under the direction of management.
• Maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and crew.
• Assist with crew member duties as needed.
• Conduct crew meetings prior to shifts to discuss operations procedures, promotions, safety, security, and training.
• Manage labor costs to meet company standards.
• Control inventory to meet company GAP standards.
• Maintain reports and records based on company standards and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain building and equipment using proper operating, cleaning, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Responsible for all cash when in charge of a shift including bank deposits and ensuring cash procedures are followed.
• Ensure personal appearance meets company standards and displays professionalism at all times.
• Enforce HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• 1 year of shift management experience
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Valid Driver's License preferred
• Must meet physical demands required of the role
• Ability to lead, recognize, and train successful talent
