Our shift leaders play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of guest service. This position involves carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Shift leaders are responsible for training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, as well as evaluating daily performance. They reward and coach employees, address complaints, and resolve problems in the absence of a manager, all while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The shift leader's responsibilities include directing, coordinating, and participating in the preparation, cooking, assembling, or packaging of food served or prepared by crew members. They issue written and oral instructions, establish priorities, and expedite workflow. Additionally, shift leaders assign duties and examine work for completeness, efficiency, and conformance to policies and procedures. They also reconcile daily receipts using cash control sheets and daily sales logs, record drops, and bank daily. A complete understanding of our menu is essential, as is the ability to assist with serving orders while tending to our guests' needs. In this role, shift leaders are expected to coach others through the enforcement of all workplace safety policies and procedures. They communicate performance issues to the assistant general manager and general manager, create and execute shift goals, and enforce policies during their shifts.
