About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Train, develop, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Manage customer interactions, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to maintain satisfaction.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
• Utilize POS systems for order processing and sales tracking.
• Collaborate with management to implement operational improvements and enhance guest experiences.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant setting is required; fine dining experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role is highly desirable.
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• A background in bartending or hospitality management is a plus.
