The Shift Leader at Big Boy Restaurant Group plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This entry-level management position involves overseeing restaurant operations during shifts, coaching employees, and maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality. The Shift Leader works closely with the management team to drive sales and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Protects the cash assets of the restaurant during each shift, including counting and verifying the contents of the safe and cash drawers.
• Works with the Executive General Manager and Assistant Manager(s) to achieve maximum sales and profits while maintaining operational standards.
• Enforces all company policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with government laws and regulations.
• Implements advertising and promotions coordinated by the Marketing Department, ensuring proper food preparation and presentation.
• Maintains strict safety and sanitation standards in the restaurant.
• Assists the management team in providing proper training to all employees.
• Supports the management team with a focus on complete guest satisfaction.
• Maintains a professional appearance, adhering to uniform standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant setting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
