About the position
The Shift Leader at Einstein Bros. Bagels plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive guest experience and maintaining team morale. This position involves collaborating with the General Manager, providing feedback to team members, and overseeing store operations with minimal supervision. Shift Leaders are empowered to lead their teams, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers opportunities for career growth, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team.
- Provide feedback and coach team members as needed.
- Open and close the store with little to no supervision.
- Ensure the quality of food and beverages served.
- Maintain a safe and clean store environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including early hours and weekends.
- Pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law.
- Possess or be able to acquire a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training.
- Hold a current, valid state-issued driver's license.
