About the position

As a SONIC Drive-In Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the General Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that quality food is served in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, creating an enjoyable experience for all guests. This position requires a hands-on approach to management, where you will be actively involved in various aspects of the restaurant's operations, from staff management to guest satisfaction. In this role, you will assist with hiring, training, supervising, and directing employees, ensuring that they understand their tasks and the importance of their roles within the team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, ensuring that every guest leaves the lot satisfied. This includes setting clear expectations for your team, providing continuous feedback, and celebrating team successes to foster a positive work environment. You will also manage key operational areas, including food and paper supplies, labor management, and guest service. Compliance with SONIC's safety and sanitation standards is paramount, and you will be expected to enforce these standards rigorously. Additionally, you will need to adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, ensuring that the restaurant operates within legal guidelines. Your leadership will be essential in creating an upbeat atmosphere that makes work enjoyable for your team, even during busy or stressful periods.
