At Piedmont Airlines, we are excited to welcome a new Shift Manager to our Ground Handling Department in Huntsville, AL. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining our high standards of operational excellence and customer service. The Shift Manager will work closely with Station Management to oversee the daily operations of the station, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including managing labor relations, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. The successful candidate will be a reliable leader who can motivate and develop staff while keeping company goals and customer expectations at the forefront of daily operations. The Shift Manager will be responsible for coaching team members, providing career development opportunities, and addressing any non-compliant behavior through appropriate disciplinary actions. A strong understanding of the corporate culture, policies, and goals is essential, as the Shift Manager will be expected to integrate these into daily work routines. Administrative duties will also be a key part of the role, including the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track performance and operational metrics. Candidates should have a proven track record as a Team Leader, with the ability to pre-plan manpower and equipment needs effectively. Familiarity with FAA regulations and the Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The role demands the ability to work independently, manage conflicts, and collaborate with various levels of management and support staff. Previous airline supervisory experience and knowledge of the Air Operations Area (AOA) environment are preferred, as is a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business, or a related field.
