About the position

The Shift Manager at Sonic Drive-In is responsible for leading the restaurant team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing shift operations, ensuring high standards of service, and training team members to perform their tasks effectively. The Shift Manager plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for guests and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Run excellent shifts and assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager(s) in restaurant operations.
• Guide Team Members and ensure adherence to operating standards.
• Train and assist Team Members on all positions and tasks in the restaurant.
• Provide exceptional hospitality and service to guests.
• Monitor and maintain quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Reconcile cash and complete manual and computer-based paperwork.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift 25 to 40 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous management experience in a restaurant setting.
