About the position

Allied Universal is seeking full-time Security Shift Supervisors to oversee operations at a Corporate Site in Boston, MA. The role involves ensuring the security of a high-profile client's facility and surrounding campus during designated shifts. The Shift Supervisor will perform general security duties, enforce policies, and deter criminal activity while providing leadership and direction to security personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties
  • Cross-train officers to enhance versatility and operational efficiency
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Recommend physical security surveys and post orders
  • Advise on personnel actions for those under direct supervision
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers assigned to the shift
  • Ensure contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met
  • Maintain overtime to a minimum or predefined level designated by Allied Universal®
  • Inspect security personnel and their job performance regularly to ensure quality of service and contract compliance
  • Perform operations and related functions such as payroll, incident report review, and security survey preparation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful security experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control during emergency situations
  • Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, and composing reports
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
