About the position

The Shift Supervisor at Trulieve is a part-time role focused on supporting the General Manager and Assistant Managers in leading a retail team. This position emphasizes motivating and mentoring staff to create a welcoming environment and drive sales, while ensuring compliance with state regulations. The Shift Supervisor will play a crucial role in customer service, conflict resolution, and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the dispensary.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead retail team members to support management.
  • Provide management and administrative support to the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
  • Lead by example in delivering strong customer service and achieving sales goals.
  • Manage payroll and control expenses such as shrink and cash shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with cannabis state-specific regulations and laws.
  • Assist with customer and employee issues, including returns and complaints.
  • Perform administrative duties including working with the POS system and reporting.
  • Train and mentor staff on product knowledge and state-specific SOPs.
  • Balance cash registers and handle cash duties.
  • Promote positive team interactions and employee recognition.
  • Participate in the training of new employees and ongoing development of staff.
  • Create a positive work environment on the sales floor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prior cash handling experience required.
  • Management experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train and evaluate a team of patient consultants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of retail business operations.
