About the position
The Shift Supervisor at Trulieve is a part-time role focused on supporting the General Manager and Assistant Managers in leading a retail team. This position emphasizes motivating and mentoring staff to create a welcoming environment and drive sales, while ensuring compliance with state regulations. The Shift Supervisor will play a crucial role in customer service, conflict resolution, and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead retail team members to support management.
- Provide management and administrative support to the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
- Lead by example in delivering strong customer service and achieving sales goals.
- Manage payroll and control expenses such as shrink and cash shortages.
- Ensure compliance with cannabis state-specific regulations and laws.
- Assist with customer and employee issues, including returns and complaints.
- Perform administrative duties including working with the POS system and reporting.
- Train and mentor staff on product knowledge and state-specific SOPs.
- Balance cash registers and handle cash duties.
- Promote positive team interactions and employee recognition.
- Participate in the training of new employees and ongoing development of staff.
- Create a positive work environment on the sales floor.
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate degree preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior cash handling experience required.
- Management experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to train and evaluate a team of patient consultants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
