About the position

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will lead store operations during your shift, ensuring a high-quality customer service experience while managing a team of baristas. This role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and the ability to create a positive environment for both customers and partners. You will be responsible for maintaining operational standards, guiding team members, and fostering a culture of connection and belonging within the store.

Responsibilities

• Lead each shift and manage store operations to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Work alongside baristas to deliver expertly-crafted beverages and food products.
• Motivate and guide team members to maintain an encouraging and productive work environment.
• Handle cash and ensure store safety and security standards are met.
• Train and coach team members on beverage preparation and customer service standards.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment - 1 year
• Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interaction with customers.
• At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks to other employees or coordinating tasks of two or more employees.
• Ability to direct the work of others and learn quickly.
• Effective oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cash-handling and store safety procedures.
• Knowledge of the retail environment and ability to build relationships.
