About the position

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will lead store operations during your shift, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and guiding a team of baristas. This role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and maintaining the store's operational standards, all while fostering a positive and energetic environment for both customers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead each shift and manage store operations to ensure quality customer service.
  • Motivate and guide team members to create an uplifting experience for customers and partners.
  • Handle cash and ensure store safety and security standards are met.
  • Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customer requests.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment - 1 year.
  • Six months of experience in a position that required constant interaction with customers.
  • At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees or coordinating tasks of two or more employees.
  • Ability to direct the work of others and learn quickly.
  • Effective oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cash-handling and store safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
