About the position

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will lead store operations during your shift, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and guiding a team of baristas. This role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and the ability to maintain a positive and energetic store environment. You will be responsible for modeling operational standards, motivating team members, and ensuring the delivery of expertly-crafted products while fostering a sense of belonging and connection among partners and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead each shift and manage store operations to ensure quality customer service.
  • Motivate and guide team members to create an uplifting experience for customers and partners.
  • Maintain operational standards including cash handling and store safety.
  • Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customer requests.
  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance and punctuality among team members.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment - 1 year.
  • Six months of experience in a position that required constant interaction with customers.
  • At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees or coordinating tasks of two or more employees.
  • Ability to direct the work of others and learn quickly.
  • Effective oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cash-handling and store safety procedures.
  • Ability to keep calm in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of the retail environment.
