About the position

As a Shift Supervisor at Trulieve, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and Assistant Managers in leading a retail team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment. Your primary responsibility will be to motivate and mentor team members while ensuring compliance with state regulations and achieving sales goals. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills to foster a positive work atmosphere and drive the success of the dispensary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead retail team members to support the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
• Provide management and administrative support to the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
• Lead by example in delivering strong customer service and driving sales to meet daily goals.
• Manage payroll and control expenses such as shrink and cash shortages.
• Ensure adherence to cannabis state-specific regulations and enforce compliance efforts.
• Assist with customer and employee issues, including returns, exchanges, and complaints.
• Perform administrative duties including working with the POS system and reporting.
• Train and mentor staff on advanced product knowledge and state-specific SOPs.
• Balance cash registers and handle cash duties.
• Promote positive team interactions through effective communication and recognition.
• Participate in the training of new employees and ongoing development of staff.
• Create and maintain a positive work environment on the sales floor.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate degree is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior cash handling experience is required.
• Management experience in retail or customer service is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
• Highly motivated, confident, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must possess the ability to train and evaluate a patient consultant team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

• Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
