About the position
This position serves as a key resource for both staff and customers in a retail cannabis environment. The role involves overseeing the onboarding of new retail associates, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The individual will assist in maintaining the store's operations, including opening and closing procedures, while fostering a positive work environment and adhering to compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for questions or issues from staff and customers
- Oversee onboarding for all new retail associates
- Assist with tracking of daily and monthly inventory
- Restock the sales floor with cannabis and non-cannabis products
- Open and close the store as needed
- Assist the Management team
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards
- Develop and maintain rapport with customers, vendors, service providers, and staff
- Recommend, select, and help locate the proper medicine for patients depending on their individual needs
- Explain the effect of different types of cannabis to customers and patients clearly and effectively
- Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management
- Set up and break down display cases per company standard
- Ensure phone calls and online orders are addressed in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness, including dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Perform other related work as required
Requirements
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Can legally work in the United States - all documentation required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Applicant must consent to a criminal background check
- Must have a valid State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have no scheduling restrictions
- Education Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required
Nice-to-haves
- Marijuana knowledge strongly preferred
- Degree in horticulture, agriculture, or plant science field is desirable
