About the position

The Shift Supervisor at Trulieve plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and Assistant Managers by motivating and mentoring retail team members. This position is focused on creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that Trulieve remains the top dispensary by providing excellent customer service and driving sales. The Shift Supervisor will also be responsible for adhering to state-specific regulations and managing various operational aspects of the retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisory and lead responsibilities in the retail setting to support the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
  • Provide management and administrative support to the General Manager and Assistant Managers.
  • Lead by example in providing strong customer service and driving sales to meet daily sales goals.
  • Manage payroll and control expenses such as shrink and cash shortages.
  • Adhere to all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, executing and enforcing compliance efforts.
  • Assume all duties of a key-holding supervisor related to opening and closing procedures and basic supervision of staff and retail processes.
  • Assist with customer and employee issues, including returns, exchanges, complaints, suggestions, and compliments.
  • Perform administrative duties including working with POS system and reporting.
  • Possess advanced product knowledge and mentor associate staff members.
  • Train staff on all state-specific SOPs in the dispensary environment.
  • Balance cash registers and handle cash duties.
  • Promote positive team interactions through employee communication and recognition.
  • Involved in the training of new employees and ongoing development of associate staff.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment on the sales floor.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prior cash handling experience is required.
  • Management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Highly motivated, confident, high-energy; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail; time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train, develop and evaluate a patient consultant team.
  • Excellent people skills and effective communication in both verbal and written form.
  • Computer literate.
  • Possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.
  • Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background record check and drug screening.

  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills may be beneficial.
