About The Position

Eaton's CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver I. At our Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacture, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to 6 different segments, including Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Shipper/Receiver role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. With full-time employment, you are offered benefits including Medical, Dental, & Vision, a 401K percent match plan, and vacation. The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using SAP or a warehouse management system.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing expertise and support including sorting, verifying, recording, and routing incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Show strong adherence to quality by seeking methods of improvement for all functions.
• Ensure that all products and parts meet Eaton's quality guidelines and perform quality checks as instructed.
• Operate and read hand-held RF units to find, move, and allocate material.
• Use a resource management system (SAP) to process all incoming and outgoing freight.
• Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights, and affixing proper postage and paperwork.
• Interface with the shipping office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery.
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
• Become certified in the operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials.
