About the position
The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing communication and coordination between contracted carriers, retail stores, and distribution centers. This role involves tracking shipments, ensuring service expectations are met, and addressing customer inquiries, all while utilizing Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Act as the key contact for contracted carriers, retail stores, and distribution centers.
- Conduct daily tracking and tracing of carrier shipments.
- Proactively follow up to ensure service expectations are met.
- Communicate potential service failures to relevant parties, including supervisors and carriers.
- Coordinate with stores to ensure timely specialized deliveries.
- Tender outbound loads to contracted carriers through TMS (E2Open) if required.
- Create and analyze a variety of reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Audit carrier schedules and delivery timelines for accuracy.
- Address customer service hotline inquiries and provide troubleshooting support.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in shipping and logistics coordination.
