About the position
The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between contracted carriers, retail stores, and distribution centers. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, managing service levels, and addressing any service issues that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for contracted carriers, retail stores, and distribution centers.
- Track and trace carriers on a daily basis.
- Proactively follow up as needed to achieve desired service levels.
- Communicate any potential service issues to the appropriate parties (i.e., supervisor, carrier, store).
- Follow up with stores to ensure specialized deliveries occur on time.
- Tender outbound loads to contracted carriers using TMS (E2Open) when necessary.
- Prepare various intermediate-to-advanced reports utilizing Microsoft Excel.
- Audit schedules for carriers and deliveries to ensure accuracy.
- Manage customer service hotline calls and troubleshoot issues.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate to advanced reporting capabilities.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
