About the position
The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in the distribution team, ensuring that products are efficiently picked, packed, and shipped to meet customer demands. This part-time position requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality, especially during peak seasons.
Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Unload incoming shipments and organize products in the warehouse.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Perform quality checks on packages to ensure they meet company standards before shipment.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred but not necessary.
- Familiarity with order picking, package handling, and basic math skills for inventory management.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed during peak season.
