About the position

The Shipping and Receiving Operator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Shipping & Receiving department, ensuring efficient processing of deliveries and shipments, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day
• Sign-in/out truck drivers, gathering pertinent information and giving instructions to drivers
• Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving
• Verify all lot numbers on all combos received
• Receive meat combos based on priorities from production
• Delegate assignments to employees
• Verify assignments are accomplished
• Enter the Shipping information in SAP system
• Ensure Receiving scale is working properly/calibrate daily
• Schedule appointment inbound/outbound
• Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork
• Verify employee initials are entered correctly
• Process goods receipts
• Enter all information in GSQA website
• Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory)
• Inspect the forklift batteries and recharge the batteries
• Verify trailer movements or changes
• Perform freezer inventory
• Rotate employee job assignments
• Ensure all employees are following GMP's and Safety practices
• Ensure the Spotter is in good working condition
• Investigate internal incidents and report to the Supervisor immediately
• Ensure only authorized personnel drive the Forklifts
• Ensure employees are completing the Forklift inspection sheet daily
• Conduct 5's Audits
• Ensure the inside and outside dock area is cleaned
• Maintain the finished goods Freezer cleaned
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bilingual - English/Spanish
• Forklift certified
• At least 1 year of job experience
