About the position
The Shipping and Receiving Scheduler at Sibanye Stillwater-Reldan is responsible for managing the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient logistics operations while maintaining high customer satisfaction. This role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize shipping processes, track shipments, and audit freight invoices, all while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Schedule inbound shipments for Receiving and outbound shipments for Shipping.
- Track inbound shipments and monitor deliveries against the Receiving schedule.
- Audit freight invoices for accuracy and approve them for payment.
- Develop relationships with freight brokers and carriers to ensure effective communication and partnerships.
- Proactively track and monitor the status of active shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Initiate Shipment ID numbers in the Microsoft NAV ERP system with accurate shipment details.
- Assist with logistics-related projects and provide emergency logistics support as needed.
Requirements
- Two years prior Logistics/Transportation operations experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL) freight, and import/export containerized freight (FCL).
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Office software suite, with strong Excel skills.
