About the position

The Shipping and Receiving Scheduler at Sibanye-Stillwater Reldan is responsible for managing the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient logistics operations while maintaining high customer satisfaction. This role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize shipping processes, track shipments, and audit freight invoices, all while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound shipments for Receiving and outbound shipments for Shipping.
• Track inbound shipments and monitor deliveries against the Receiving schedule.
• Audit freight invoices for accuracy and approve them for payment.
• Develop relationships with freight brokers and carriers to ensure effective communication and partnerships.
• Initiate Shipment ID numbers in the Microsoft NAV ERP system with accurate shipment details.
• Assist with logistics-related projects and provide emergency logistics support when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members regarding shipment statuses and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and attend monthly safety meetings.

Requirements

• Two years of prior Logistics/Transportation operations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL) freight, and import/export containerized freight (FCL).
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills are required.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Office software suite, with strong Excel skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft NAV ERP system is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to menu-driven systems and find efficient ways to accomplish tasks.
