This position is responsible for the correct assignment of shipping methods to packages being shipped as well as ensuring that the package meets the company's standards for appearance, quality and security. The Shipping Coordinator also makes sure that orders leave the facility the same day they are deposited in the shipping area and that the shipped orders are executed in the shipping system. If an error is encountered during the shipping function, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for correction of the error, prior to shipping. This position also handles items that are returned as undeliverable, by contacting the appropriate Account/Project Manager.
