The Shipping Coordinator/Inventory Management/Logistics Analyst position is a critical role within the ADD Logistics team, located at the Lake County Distribution Center in North Chicago, IL. This position is fully onsite and requires the individual to work standard hours from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the logistics team by scheduling, monitoring, and tracking inbound and outbound shipments. The coordinator will be tasked with coordinating the transfer of inventory to and from a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse, ensuring that the Lake County Distribution Center operates smoothly and efficiently. In addition to shipment coordination, the Shipping Coordinator will monitor inventory levels to proactively manage materials and ensure that there is adequate space in the trailer/container yard. This role also involves supporting various logistics-related projects, which may require collaboration with other team members and departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate skills in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, are essential for leveraging data effectively in this role. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in logistics, transportation, inventory control, and third-party warehouse management. The ability to commute to the North Chicago location is also required, as this is an in-person role. Steel toe shoes are mandatory while working in the warehouse to ensure safety compliance.
