About the position

Nordic Fiberglass is the leading manufacturer of fiberglass products for the underground electrical industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of order processing, managing shipping documentation, and coordinating with freight carriers. Delivering cost effective and value-added services to internal and external customers to enhancing the overall 'Customer Experience'.

Responsibilities

• Verify customer orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare packing lists and bills of lading.
• Generate product shipping labels.
• Communicate with freight carriers to arrange transportation and resolve any shipping issues.
• Handle Less Than Truckload (LTL), FedEx, UPS shipments.
• Ensure all Shipping docs are in order for Invoicing.
• Communicate with customer service responding to shipping questions.
• Assist with other shipping-related tasks and perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in shipping or logistics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, shipping software and logistics processes.
• Quickly recognizes when there is a problem or opportunity to resolve an issue.
• Accomplishes tasks and goals with little supervision.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day.
