About the position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, while also maintaining strong communication with team members and managing inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage order fulfillment processes, ensuring timely and accurate shipping of products.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain stock levels and manage inventory effectively.
• Operate order picking equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to retrieve and prepare items for shipment.
• Oversee the packaging of products to ensure they meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Collaborate with e-commerce teams to process online orders and manage shipping logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Assist in the receiving of incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate shipping costs and manage inventory counts.

Requirements

• Proficiency in order fulfillment processes within a warehouse setting.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and shipping logistics.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including packaging standards.
