About the position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing operations within a designated area of the warehouse, serving as the initial point of contact for job tasks and process clarifications. This role involves training staff, auditing procedures, ensuring effective workflow, and handling discrepancies while performing core functions to meet departmental goals. The Lead acts as a process expert, providing critical input to achieve daily objectives and maintain high standards of safety, productivity, quality, and service.

Responsibilities

• Train staff on work instructions and on-the-job training requirements.
• Audit staff processes to ensure compliance with work procedures.
• Identify and resolve department process exceptions.
• Monitor workloads to ensure effective flow and prevent bottlenecks.
• Perform core Associate tasks to support departmental goals.
• Report failures and clear problems to maintain workflow.
• Perform other relevant duties as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in all Operations areas and processes.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Proven commitment and flexibility with a positive attitude.
• Solid understanding of warehouse errors impacting customers and quality performance measures.
• Proficiency with Knapp screens and relevant sections of the SAP system.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Good organizational skills and written communication.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of related job experience.
