About the position

The Shipping Logistics Specialist at Raytheon is responsible for ensuring that products are shipped safely, securely, and on time. This role involves a variety of technical and business tasks in support of shipping and traffic functions, including preparing and processing outbound shipping requests. The position requires coordination of transportation activities and compliance with relevant regulations, making it essential for the effective movement of goods within the logistics framework.

Responsibilities

• Organize transportation activities, managing information from point of origin to delivery.
• Coordinate and certify shipments in accordance with 49 CFR, IATA, and Defense Transportation Regulations.
• Maintain traffic accountability records and oversee the delivery of goods.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping labels, Hazardous declarations, Bill of Lading, and airway bills.
• Coordinate and track the movement of goods through logistic pathways.
• Execute logistics plans to ensure timely delivery of products and packages.
• Prioritize daily workloads and maintain quality throughout the shipment process.
• Communicate directly with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with shipping and packing hazardous materials for domestic movement.
• Strong analytical skills and aptitude for data analysis.
• Experience with SAP Application - PRISM Systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, i.e., Excel, Word.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
