The Shipping Operations Specialist - MCPP (GPN Philippines) at KBR plays a crucial role in supporting the Marine Corps' Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) and Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. This program is essential for the rapid deployment of Marine Air Ground Task Forces (MAGTFs) and individual Marine units, enabling them to respond effectively to crises and maintain a forward presence globally. The specialist will coordinate shipping and receiving activities for bulk and parcel freight, ensuring that all operations align with the standards set by the Marine Corps and Department of Defense (DOD). The position requires the specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute shipping and receiving functions for equipment and supplies, which includes validating shipping configurations, marking containers, and applying proper preservation and packaging techniques. The role also involves processing hazardous materials and inspecting shipments for any discrepancies. The specialist will work closely with the MCPP-PHIL Logistics Manager and will undergo initial training in Jacksonville, FL, followed by placement in Subic Bay, Philippines.
