About the position
The Shipping/Receiving position at Burke Forging & Heat Treating, Inc. involves managing the logistics of loading and unloading freight trailers, ensuring accurate preparation of shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This full-time role is essential for supporting the company's operations in supplying open-die forgings and seamless rolled-rings to various industrial markets.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight trailers.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Prepare shipments according to paperwork and bills of lading.
- Organize pallets and materials using manipulators.
- Assist in general housekeeping of the plant.
- Empty scrap material hoppers.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Forklift Certification (preferred).
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail in preparing shipments.
- Safe working skills.
