Shipping/Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

About the position

The Shipping/Warehouse Associate at Martin Sprocket & Gear is responsible for efficiently managing the shipping and receiving processes within the warehouse. This role emphasizes precision in product selection, order verification, and packing for shipment, while ensuring safety and cleanliness in the work environment. The associate will collaborate with other departments to support overall operations and maintain a high standard of quality in all tasks performed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
• Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
• Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights.
• Practice safe lifting techniques and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in basic math and clear communication skills in English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of shipping and receiving or warehouse experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs.
