About the position

GLO Resources LLC is seeking a Ship's Gear Crane Operator to ensure the safe operation of cranes and the safety of personnel in maritime and warehouse environments. The role involves transloading cargo, performing maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols while operating cranes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe operation of the crane, as well as the safety of all personnel on the ships and in the warehouse
• Report unsafe operations and behavior to the assigned production manager
• Responsible for the safe transloading of cargoes and commodities
• Ensures the maintenance of the crane, including performing pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance
• Ensures the assignment of crew personnel to perform preventative maintenance
• Observes load hookup and determines load safety
• Report ALL incidents through company's reporting protocol
• Support company safety initiatives
• Demonstration of knowledge of all required competencies
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• 2+ years of friction and hydraulic crane experience in a maritime/ industrial or warehousing environment
• Experience operating cranes in an industrial or stevedoring setting (Preferred)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Working Experience in the stevedoring or warehousing industry (Preferred)
• Ability to safely operate assigned equipment
• Thorough knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs
• Thorough knowledge of personnel safety programs
• At least 40 hours of seat time in all assigned equipment
• Proficiency in equipment and terminal operations
• Ability to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely
• Demonstrated safe work practices, history, and leadership ability
• Valid TWIC - receipts not accepted
• Crane Physical
• Pre-employment Drug Screen
• Valid Driver's license
• Must be able to pass drug screening
