About the position

The Shop Bardo Manager is responsible for overseeing the retail operations at Hotel Bardo Savannah, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving sales. This role involves managing inventory, collaborating with various teams for marketing and merchandising, and maintaining the brand's image and standards. The manager will also establish strong customer relationships and handle any issues that arise, all while fostering a positive and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own Shop Bardo inventory management in collaboration with the Finance and Operations teams, including end-of-day sales and stories reporting
  • Partner with the Brand team to keep Shop Bardo on-strategy and concept and execute in-shop events, new product launches and collaborations
  • Oversee merchandising based on the Visual Merchandise Guide and Brand Standards to drive store traffic, seasonal sales performance, and retail productivity
  • Maintain store condition, ensuring pricing, stock and signage consistent and correct
  • Oversee shop email marketing and social media content, strategy and execution in partnership with Brand & Marketing team
  • Establish a regular client base and ensure strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, providing support to other team members to ensure all sales opportunities are optimized
  • Create quarterly product guides and own gifting logistics for VIP and Corporate guests, including room drops and special events
  • Deal with issues that arise from your team or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.) in a professional manner
  • Ensure that the Shop Bardo brand image and voice is always projected throughout the shop and resort grounds
  • Ensure Retail Operations Guide is well-maintained and upheld by you and your team

Requirements

  • Proficient in Canva, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Comfortability in CRM and inventory management platforms (i.e. Revinate, Yellowdog)
  • Proficient in the English language in reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Must be able to cross-train in other resort related areas
  • Engaging interpersonal skills to represent Hotel Bardo Savannah to guests, members, and partners
  • Proven leadership skills in supporting internal stakeholders to consistently attain departmental and organization effectiveness
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage numerous priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Confident, collaborative and with a point of view
