About the position
Primoris Fleet Division has an immediate opening for qualified shop lube technicians in Gonzales, LA. The position requires candidates to provide quality maintenance services in a quick and professional manner. Daily responsibilities include draining motor oil, changing oil filters, changing grease chassis fittings, inspecting and topping off fluids, flushing, adjusting tire pressure/tire rotation, and washing windshields. Technicians will perform a variety of manual duties, usually working in the shop and transferring from one location to another, where demands require assistance from workmen with varied experience and the ability to work without close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Drain motor oil
- Change oil filters
- Change grease chassis fittings
- Inspect and top off fluids
- Flush fluids as necessary
- Adjust tire pressure and perform tire rotation
- Wash windshields
- Perform a variety of manual duties in the shop
- Transfer from one location to another as needed
- Assist workmen with varied experience
- Work without close supervision
Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
- Practice safety rules
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Safe use of hand and power tools
- Report to and assist immediate supervisor
- Perform quality work as determined by project specifications
- Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift
- Must work well as part of a team
