About the position

The Shop Manager at Aftermath Services is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing shop operations and team development in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing biohazard remediation projects while ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies. The role offers opportunities for career growth and advancement through comprehensive training and certification programs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct leadership and development of staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
  • Serve as a 'Player-Coach' through direct job site management and support of the Field Team in various biohazard remediation projects.
  • Responsible for shop operations, including staffing, interviewing, onboarding, training, and scheduling.
  • Manage and report on shop performance, including revenue targets and cost management.
  • Responsible for managing the Shop's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
  • Assist Area Manager in daily operations and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must reside locally and be able to respond to the shop within one hour of receiving a service call.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in biohazard remediation, construction, mitigation, restoration, or a related field.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a technical or field service environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have completed Aftermath's Field Learning Path within 30 days of start, and Supervisor Learning Path within 90 days of start.

Nice-to-haves

  • IICRC S540 certification or equivalent in biohazard remediation.
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership in high-stress scenarios.
  • Customer service experience and military personnel are highly valued.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a track record of successful community engagement and outreach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and relevant software.
