About the position

The Shop Manager at Aftermath Services is responsible for leading a team in biohazard remediation and aftermath services. This role involves operational management, team development, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The Shop Manager will oversee shop operations, manage performance metrics, and facilitate community outreach to enhance brand awareness. The position requires a dynamic leader who can respond to emergency service calls and support the field team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Direct leadership and development of staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
  • Serve as a 'Player-Coach' through direct job site management and support of the Field Team in various biohazard remediation projects.
  • Responsible for shop operations, including staffing, interviewing, onboarding, training, and scheduling.
  • Manage and report on shop performance, including revenue targets and cost management.
  • Responsible for managing the Shop's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
  • Facilitate community outreach to build brand awareness and establish strong local partnerships.
  • Support Area Manager in daily operations and special projects as needed.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, providing job site bioremediation services in various emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must reside locally and be able to respond to the shop within one hour of receiving a service call.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in biohazard remediation, construction, mitigation, restoration, or a related field.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a technical or field service environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have completed Aftermath's Field Learning Path within 30 days of start, and Supervisor Learning Path within 90 days of start.

Nice-to-haves

  • IICRC S540 certification or equivalent in biohazard remediation.
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership in high-stress scenarios.
  • Customer service experience and military personnel are highly valued.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a track record of successful community engagement and outreach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and relevant software.
