About the position

Take 5 Oil Change is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Manager to join our winning team in Durham, NC. This position is ideal for individuals from all backgrounds, whether you have years of automotive experience or are new to the industry. Our proprietary training program will equip you with all the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in this role. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every customer receives an experience that exceeds industry standards. You will lead and oversee a team of 8-12 individuals, including assistant managers, lead technicians, and certified technicians, who will perform light duty preventive maintenance services on personal and fleet vehicles. These services include full-service oil changes, engine and cabin air filter replacements, wiper blade replacements, fluid exchange services, and tire pressure adjustments. Your role will also involve effectively communicating the benefits of our products and services to customers while addressing their needs and concerns. In addition to customer service, you will be tasked with developing your team members, maintaining open lines of communication, and ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality control at all times. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment, monitor inventory levels, and restock supplies as needed. Constant communication with the District Manager is essential to ensure that current company policies, goals, and budgets are being met. You will also strategically handle all customer complaints to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Leadership skills.
