About the position
The Shop Service Technician position at MH Equipment Company involves diagnosing and repairing lift trucks and other material handling equipment. The role requires a strong background in various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Technicians will receive training through the MH Technician Academy, which covers everything from basic engine repair to advanced computer diagnostics. This full-time position emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair lift trucks and other identified products.
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and a positive attitude.
- Follow and promote safety initiatives in the workplace.
Requirements
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems, and/or charging systems.
- Must have battery experience.
- Must have own tools; tool purchase assistance is provided.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Professional appearance and preparation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in automotive repair (3 years preferred).
- Experience in electrical diagnostics (1 year required).
- Experience with fuel, charging, and electrical systems (1 year required).
