About the position

The Shop Supervisor at Altec Industries is responsible for overseeing technicians in the repair and maintenance of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment. This role emphasizes quality service aligned with Altec's values, ensuring that all jobs meet customer goals while fostering a positive work environment. The supervisor will also focus on continuous training, safety, and process improvement within the service group.

Responsibilities

• Enable continuous training for new and current technicians.
• Ensure safety and environmental considerations are prioritized in all practices.
• Oversee efficient and effective work methods and scheduling.
• Champion and implement process improvements.
• Foster team spirit in alignment with Altec Values to maintain a successful Service Group.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED AND four years of industry-related experience OR a bachelor's degree with some industry-related knowledge.
• Bachelor's Degree AND two years of supervision, industry-related preferred OR High School Diploma or GED AND five years of industry-related supervision.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• General PC skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with team members and with minimal supervision.
• Current valid Driver's License may be required.
