The Shopper Marketing Manager position is designed for individuals with a Commerce background, a keen interest in Animal Health, and a passion for driving Commerce and digital disruption. This role is critical as Commerce marketing is rapidly evolving within the US Pet Health sector. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager Commerce Pet Health and will be responsible for leading essential Commerce Planning, Execution, and Capability across Pureplay and Omnichannel retail partners. The role involves driving Retail Commerce Planning and execution at all retail customers, deploying best-in-class planning and execution strategies for Amazon and Pureplay, and fostering Omnichannel Commerce partnerships. In this position, you will translate brand strategy into customer strategy to ensure growth for both our retailer partners and Elanco. The ideal candidate will leverage brand equities to influence shopper behavior throughout the purchasing journey, utilize data-driven marketing tools, and activate brand equities at retail. Additionally, understanding customer capabilities and cascading toolkits to all customers in the channel will be essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Grounded in Brand Strategies
  • Identifies ways to leverage brand equities to change shopper behavior across the path to purchase
  • Knowledgeable about Retailer Capabilities
  • Ability to understand and leverage data to make fact-based decisions
  • Leverages shopper and category insights to build shopper activations
  • Works collaboratively with KAM's, Category Management, Operations, Digital Operations and our Retail partners
  • Works with Merchandising Operations Manager to ensure impactful instore displays and POS
  • Drive end to end Commerce marketing planning, execution, and capability across all retail (Pureplay and Omnichannel) customers
  • Build close connective relationships with Brand Marketing to deploy Commerce as a strategic growth engine
  • Partner closely with US Brand & Media teams to execute Commerce brand initiatives aimed at creating seamless consumer experiences
  • Bring innovative best in class Commerce marketing execution leadership and rock-solid project management
  • Work closely with key agency partners and Shopper AOR
  • Assist in Commerce capability development across key areas including, but not limited, to: Retail Media, Retail Search Strategy, Agency relationship, Supply chain commerce

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable relevant experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience is ideal
