About the position

The Short Shift Caregiver position at Visiting Angels involves providing essential personal care and companionship to seniors and disabled adults. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about assisting others and can work flexible hours, including part-time, full-time, or as needed (PRN).

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing, and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking, and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors and/or disabled adults, either professionally or personally
• Reliable transportation
• Reliability and professionalism
• Enjoyment in assisting the needs of others

Nice-to-haves

• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience
• CNA certification (not a requirement)
