About the position

Dexis Consulting Group (Dexis) is seeking a Communications and Reporting Specialist for a short-term consultancy role within the Guatemala Justice and Transparency Project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This position is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of security and justice sector institutions in Guatemala, aiming to reduce corruption and impunity. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing past quarterly performance reports and other relevant documents, collecting recent information from the Project's technical team, and drafting the Annual Technical Report for FY2024. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce clear, engaging, and well-structured documents tailored to the intended audience. The primary objective of this consultancy is to ensure that all reports and documents reflect the Project's main activities and outcomes accurately. The Communications and Reporting Specialist will conduct interviews with various stakeholders, including counterparts, beneficiaries, and grantees, to gather pertinent information for the technical report and success stories. Additionally, the specialist will translate inputs from the technical team into English, ensuring that the final documents adhere to USAID's reporting and branding requirements. Regular meetings with Project staff will be held to report on progress and address any challenges encountered during the implementation of these tasks. This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in communications, international studies, or political science, who can manage communications effectively and produce high-quality reports. Responsibilities

• Review past quarterly performance reports and other relevant information for the entire Fiscal Year 2024 to identify the Project's main activities and outcomes.
• Collect information from the technical team on the main highlights of their programmatic work in the last quarter of the Fiscal Year (July-September 2024) to inform the Project's annual report.
• Interview counterparts, beneficiaries, grantees, and others to gather relevant information for the technical report and success stories.
• Translate inputs received from the technical team into English and edit for style and grammar.
• Draft the Project's Annual Performance Report, ensuring the inputs clearly communicate Project activities and results to targeted audiences.
• Hold periodical meetings with Project staff to report on progress in the implementation of the above tasks.
• Conduct other tasks as required to meet the core objective of this consultancy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, International Studies, Political Science, or similar field.
• Minimum six years of professional experience in related fields.
• Demonstrated professional proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to produce clear, concise, well-structured documents in English tailored to USAID.
• Strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and style, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience managing communications for a project or organization, including drafting reports, blog posts, and/or other key documents is desirable.
• Preferred experience and/or familiarity with USAID reporting and branding requirements.
• Familiarity with Guatemalan context, a plus.
