About the position
The Palmerton Area School District is looking for a short-term substitute Social Studies teacher to cover a temporary assignment at the Senior High School. The position is expected to last from November 14, 2024, through January 28, 2025, and requires candidates to hold valid Pennsylvania teaching certifications in Social Studies.
Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies curriculum to high school students.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials as needed.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Citizenship Education 7-12 or Social Studies 7-12.
